Brown Bag Sessions
I had attended a brown bag session in the Gellert Library. In that session I was taught how to use ebooks, books and articles online through the schools website. I forgot the male librarians name, but he had given us a brief description of how to use these sources. He had verified the different types of websites, (i.e. edu, gov, com). We had got to know the difference of how an article and magazine online are similar and/or different. We had also gone over plagiarism and the consequences of using it without citing our work. It is always important to cite our work because we can't take credit of someone else's work. We need to be independent and hard-working individuals who take their own responsibilities and cite their work. As a result, one way to know if you're citing your work right is using (www.purdueowl.edu).
